| Online safety for Pre-school Children
Dear parents and carers As part of our Safeguarding procedures, we have a duty to share information on how to keep children safe online. Whilst we appreciate that most pre-school children will not have unsupervised access to the internet, there are worrying trends, even on child pages, where inappropriate pop-ups or cartoons containing images that are not suitable for this age, occasionally appear. It is very important to have secure passwords and parental controls in place to stop children accessing inappropriate content and to encourage children to tell you if they are worried or upset by what they have seen. Talk to your child about how to stay safe when using the internet, as this will be valuable as they grow older and start to use tablets, phones and computers independently. Please follow the link below for more advice and guidance to support you and your child be safe online: Pre-school (0-5) online safety advice | Internet Matters The NSPCC also has lots of information for parents and carers or you can speak to the pre-school team for support. Please let us know if you would like any further information. |
